Rainwater Tank Delivery
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure there is adequate clearance through gateways, under carport, down pathways and under trees for Stalco to gain access to site. In the event site is not accessible, tanks are unloaded at the closest convenient location.
Installation
Please ensure your tank is installed by an "Authorised Installer" according to regulations in your area.
- In all installations make sure outlet pipes are well supported and not depending on the tank walls for stability.
- A 300mm flexible section of pipe should be installed after the gate valve to absorb shock and protect the tank and fittings.
- Formit tanks are fitted with a 90mm overflow. The inlet pipe diameter should not exceed the overflow diameter, as this may cause water to backflow through the strainer.
- The tank site must be level and flat, the area well compacted and free from any rocks, stones and sharp objects.
- Ensure that the tank site is at least 500mm larger in diameter than the tank.
- For the Formit Slimline the tank should be sited on a level concrete slab.
- For the Formit Round the tank can be sited on a compacted sand base (75mm) or other consolidated fill i.e. crusher dust.
- If a compact sand base or other consolidated fill is used, a retaining wall or surround must be provided to prevent erosion.
The overflow must be piped well clear of the tank to avoid undermining of the tank base
